Silviu Gansca
Silviu Gansca, founder and co-owner of Redefined Fitness, is dedicated to helping his clients improve both their fitness and their lifestyles. He specializes in one-on-one and group training, rehabilitation techniques, and flexibility work. A personal trainer certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), Silviu is also trained in the methodology of Steve Percy, a national training expert who was the first to integrate personal training with physical therapy and sports medicine techniques. To quote his mentor, Silviu believes that "the quality of your life is determined by the quality of your movement."
Currently, Silviu is working closely with Gary Gray, PT, founder of the Gray Institute and recipient of the American Physical Therapy Association's prestigious Maley Award for innovation and leadership. Upon completion of this training Silviu will become certified as a Functional Manual Reaction Specialist.
A graduate of Niles North High School, Silviu was a multiple sport athlete. He then went on to a successful fashion modeling career in New York, but returned to Chicago to pursue his first love, personal training. As a certified personal trainer Silviu worked for both the Wilmette and Glenview park districts, and then went on to open his own personal training studio with business partner Eric Smoot. In 2002 this studio evolved into Redefined Fitness. Silviu holds an AA degree in business from Oakton Community College.
